the Hornets are ready to offer opportunities to our players with our Fall and Winter Camps as we have done in the past. Below is the information regarding the sessions that the Hornets will be offering.
Registration Fees cover the floor time, player insurance and a camp pinnie/jersey for each player. (These are all upfront costs to the club). REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN.
All sessions will again be held at the Spray Lakes Family Leisure Centre, 800 Griffin Road East, Cochrane.
SATURDAY TRAINING SESSIONS (October 15- December 17)

** PLEASE NOTE: WHEN REGISTERING THE BIRTH DATES ASSOCIATED WITH THE REGISTRATION FOR THE FALL CAMP ARE DEFAULTED TO THE SAME DIVISION THE PLAYER PLAYED IN THE 2022 BOX SEASON.
2022/2023 - CAMP DIVISION AGE GROUPS

THE AGE GROUPS BELOW ARE AFFECTED BY THE AGE GROUP THEY ARE REGISTERING IN AND THE AGE GROUP/TIME THEY WILL BE ATTENDING:
BIRTH YEAR 2014 -- PLAYED 8U WILL MOVE UP TO THE 10U GROUP (3:00 PM - 4:15 PM) AND A FURTHER $25 WOULD BE DUE;
BIRTH YEAR 2010 -- PLAYED 12U WILL MOVE UP TO THE 14U GROUP (4:15 PM - 5:30 PM)
GOALIES REGISTERING FOR THE SESSIONS ARE FREE.
WINTER SESSIONS - FEBRUARY 11 - FEBRUARY 18, 2023
6U - 8U - Times: 1:45 pm - 2:45 pm - Full Equipment;
10U - 16U - Times: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm - Full Equipment;
The 10U - 16U players will be split into two groups. Players/Goalies can stay for the entire two hours, but if they have a commitment can leave early. Players can register for these dates and pay a single day fee for each day.
These sessions will be a combination of camp drills followed by a scrimmage. We will be working on fundamental skills as well as how those translate into game situations. We strive to create a fast paced, energetic environment where the players are able to get a lot of reps in learning the necessary skills, and then showing us what they learned when we hit the scrimmage.
COACHES:
The Camps will be run by Head Coach Jason Montgomery. Coach Monty has been heavily involved in the Hornets camps for over 5 years, coached within the organization for over 8 years, and is the Hornets Past President. We are currently putting together a roster that includes long time Hornets coaches from all levels (age and tier) as well as former players that are returning to give back to the Association. So rest assured, we will have a strong group of energetic, knowledgeable, and committed coaches to help take each player that registers to the next step.
PLEASE NOTE: TRY IT SESSIONS (FOR THOSE THAT HAVE NOT PLAYED LACROSSE THAT WANT TO TRY BEFORE REGISTERING AND NEW PLAYER SESSIONS - THESE WILL BE HELD IN JANUARY/FEBRUARY - FURTHER DETAILS TO FOLLOW LATER IN THE FALL).
