Some teams may have the opportunity to have a non-parent coach in any given year and we are lucky to have them. These are experienced coaches who know the game of lacrosse and in some cases, have played lacrosse.
Non-Parent Coaches are not paid to coach, but we do cover travel costs to tournaments outside the CDLA ie: Lethbridge, Red Deer etc. What we cover is reasonable expenses by way of hotel costs and gas. If there are more than one non-parent coach on a team, then the hotel room is shared and we encourage the coaches to travel together.
Receipts are provided to the Executive Director within 5 days of returning from the tournament for hotel and gas for reimbursement.
We do not cover meals and those expenses would be covered by the team. A good rule of thumb would be $10 for Breakfast; $10-$15 for Lunch and $20-$25.
